BestDrive are once again delighted to support the Irish Tyre Industry Association (ITIA) and the Road Safety Authority (RSA) in helping all Irish Motorists get educated on tyres and tyre safety for Road Safety Week.
This initiative is carried out each year to try and stimulate the public to look at their car and to check the tyres rather than “taking it for granted” as that assumption can cause serious issues.
Sadly, this year we have seen road fatalities jump dramatically versus 2022 and the devastation that these deaths cause families and communities is felt all over the country.
The RSA has advised that last year 14 deaths were clearly attributed to tyres .. that was about 10% of the road deaths and its hard to say that a lot of these deaths may have bee avoided if the tyres had been check or changed …
Let us all look at say what can we do …. BestDrive are delighted to provide a FREE tyre check to all motorists for the FULL MONTH OF OCTOBER and not just for Road Safety Week (2nd to 9th October).
The RSA and the Gardai do plan an increase in the visibility and check for tyres during October … the fines are big for defective tyres, the danger they carry is bigger … so please be sensible and get your tyres check as soon as possible in any BestDrive branch … it could be a life saver !
